Sorry if I assumed too much ceegs. That's cool you guys accommodated people so they can still enjoy the rest of the season. Hopefully future teams do the same in similar situations.

 

All good JG. It wasn't a decision that we took lightly as the two that we've had all season (picked them up in NHL bidding to boot) are really good friends and a treat to have around. We recognize we're going to get heat for this weekend, but the characterization that we just tossed these guys aside to make room for shiny new toys just isn't true. We tried to put a decent amount of care into it.

 

People do not seem to realize that even with me being the asshole i am this wasn't easy on us. Ceeg and I go way back to s2 with galchy and have seen his game constantly improving this season. While Ceeg has also been friends with dherms for quite some time and I have become good nhl friends with him in our short time together as well. Those 2 players were my hand picked choice to be my linemates at the start of the season. But things change and I have made it no secret that i will do whatever it takes to build a championship team this season and i owe it to the rest of my roster to make that push and go for it. Sometimes sacrifices have to be made for the greater good of a group. At the end of the day this is just a game and you have to be able to separate your feelings from doing what is right for the organization. My only regret is that with this happening so much quicker than i expected it to i wasn't able to give those 2 players the proper warning and send off i would have liked.
