Hart Memorial (MVP) and Art Ross - @Jay Rulez (13-1-1) 54pts (Leads League) "St. Louis Blues" The kid has been on fire the entire season posting a 13-1-1 record with 54 pts. Now obviously I'm not giving him the nod because of the points but rather having 13 of his teams 29 wins. The one issue I know will be brought up is I don't believe he is facing the top lines most nights, but to have only two losses in this version of nhl warrants some credit. Hopefully his line of himself nyr and breaky get tested a little more but nonetheless the kid is on fire. I easily could of given it to GB but that's too obvious Vezina (Top Goalie) - @lx JoneZ xl (15-6-0) 1.64 GAA 81.8 SV% (Leads League in Both) "San Jose Sharks" This has essentially been a two horse race for the entire season between jonez and vague being. The deciding factor ending up being jonez slight edge in stats and the fact that he's my goalie. Go Sharks Go. Any goalie who can put up these insane numbers in NHL 17 deserves some recognition and Jonez has been unreal from the start. Calder Memorial (Top Rookie) - @Fn Waz (12-2-1) 48 pts (Leads All eligible Rookies) "Columbus" This man seems to have the ability to do some damage. On a Columbus team who was once leading the east if I'm correct has since come back to earth and is now sitting 3 pts out of a playoff spot. Waz was obviously a huge part to Columbus's early success but has since seen the team around him crumble. It will be interesting to see if Waz faces better lines as I'm sure Columbus's early season success can be attributed to teams taking them lightly with regards to the lines being thrown out, not their fault of course. James Norris Memorial (Top Defenseman) - @xW 4 R D (9-5-1) 22pts +/- 7 "Rangers" I tried not making pts the determining factor but more of "Who are they playing with?" "Who are the playing Against?" which is why I feel ward deserves it. I feel he is the only dman on his team who can impact a game and with that salary, he better lol. Will be interesting to see if he can continue the success. Jack Adams (Best Coach) - @brandovedo "Penguins" This man lost all of his top talent from last season to management elsewhere and has still managed to put together another top team. The guy just knows how to build winners "In the regular season", (Got Emm). I feel he should of won it last season but I think this may be his year if his team continues to play the way they are. Frank J. Selke (Best Defensive Fwd) and Lady Byng - @GB521 +/- 21, 57.6 FO%, 10 PIMS "Red Wings" This is obviously not a surprise as GB is known as one of the best players in the game. His defensive stats are quite impressive especially the faceoff aspect (we all know the kid glitches on the dot, ). When people see they are facing GB they know he is obviously a player to watch in all 3 zones. Rocket Richard (Most Goals) - @The Gr8 Haxby @StifmeisterTV 33G each "Panthers/Oilers" They both scored a lot of goals, not much else to say.
Love it. Huge fan of GB but I think ole Rippin needs to start being considered for selke. He murders people in the D zone.
Both @lx JoneZ xl & @Vague Being are running away from all of us other Tendys in GAA & SV%. Incredible stats throughout the season so far and to continuously put up amazing numbers each game is tremendous. Great job boys. Keep it up and good luck to both of you in this friendly competition.
