Playoffs are underway in the LGMFL. Congrats to all the teams that have made it. Tough to predict who will win it all, no real dominant team IMO & plenty of teams capable of going all the way. Just a reminder, the playoffs advance every 24 hours at the max. If you are eliminated from the playoffs, please check to see what you can get done for the off-season and be ready to get that started immediately following the Super Bowl. The matchups for the wildcard round look like this. AFC #6 Cinci (Agorm) @ #3 Indy (Zombie) - Cinci goes to INDY and pulls out the win 30-24. Indy had the ball in the redzone with under 30 seconds left but go picked on the goalline. Great season by Zombie in Indy. Lost his starting QB for the majority of the year and still won the very tough AFC South. Agorm will visit Viktomize and his NYJ in the next round. #5 Jacksonville (Mackay) @ #4 Denver (Devin) - This is the last game of round 1 to be played. The winner of this game will travel to Cleveland to face my Browns. Both teams are really hot going into the playoffs. The difference might be that the Jags lost Manziel in week 17. These owners don't like each other, should be a fun one. 1st Round Bye: #1 NYJ (Viktomize) #2 Cleveland (Myself) NFC #6 Dallas (Big 50) @ #3 Philadelphia (NukeBomb) - These 2 teams were neck and neck all season in the NFC East. Nuke ultimately came out on top in the division race and sent 50 to the off-season by beating Dallas 31-27 in Philadelphia. Both owners had great seasons and will be contenders in Season 2 once again. Philly will now travel to play Lundy and the Hollywood Vikes. #5 Seattle (HotShats) @ #4 Carolina (TubbyTurbo) - Probably the toughest game to predict of round 1. HotShat played in the best division in the LGMFL and nearly took down ARI to take the division. He could have very easily been the top seed in the NFC. Homefield proved to be too much for the Hawks as Tubby gets the win on his home turf. Next stop for Tubby, Glendale Arizona for a matchup with the high flying Cardinals. 1st Round Bye: #1 Arizona (Philles Phinest) & #2 Minnesota (Lundy)
Division Round update AFC #6 Cinci (Agorm) @ #1 NYJ (Viktomize) - This game absolutely lived up to the hype. Agorm traveled to NY feeling good after a road win vs division winner INDY and gave the top seed Jets all they could handle. In the end, the Jets came away with a 3pt win in OT. A 50+ yard missed FG in OT did the Bengals in as the NYJ were able to turn the solid field position into the game winning FG. Great season by both teams. #5 Jacksonville (Mackay) @ #2 Cleveland (Myself) - A defensive battle that featured a grand total of 0 offensive touchdowns. Leodis McKelvin had the game of his career with 2 INT (1 pick 6) and a fumble recovery for a touchdown. He also closed the game out by picking up his 2nd interception in the red zone with under a minute left. A hard fought game that neither team deserved to lose. Final Score: Cleveland 17 Jax 10 AFC Championship #2 Cleveland @ #1 New York Jets - Tonight (Exact time TBD, likely around 8:30pm EST) NFC Divisional Round #4 Carolina (Tubby Turbo) @ #1 Arizona (Philles Phinest) - Arizona was extremely confident going into their matchup with the red-hot Panthers. Too confident? Apparently so. Tubby and the Panthers jumped out to a big 24 point lead and was able to hold-off the Cardinals late game rally to hold on to a 2pt win. The Cards had a 2pt conversion attempt to tie the game that failed and sent the Cards home. Philles Phinest's plans of being the first team to play in the Super Bowl in their own stadium are put to rest. #3 Philly (NukeBomb) @ #2 Minnesota (Lundy) - SNOWBOWL! This game was played in a Minnesota Blizzard and the weather definitely played a factor in the game. Matt Ryan & Lundy ultimately made more plays and took out the Eagles under the lights in Gopher Stadium. Lundy entered this season with the reputation of a top defensive mind and it appears he is living up to the hype. NFC Championship - #4 Carolina @ #2 Minnesota (Game time is scheduled for 7:30pm ET tonight) *Check with players for Twitch information and good luck to everyone involved in tonight's games.
The Owl is done. Gamestop John just adds 1 more accomplishment to his resume. No EASHL prediction and now SB Champ.
Congratulations man. Those turnovers in the red zone from me made it inevitable that I was going to lose. Your defense is great and you're a well deserved winner, my only 2 losses all season were against you.
It's basically like the show "The League". Winner gets to decide the draft location and time. So pack your bags boyz, we're going to Vegas
Watch out for those snappers( guys with porn cards) and girls in bridal dresses " No they arent getting Married"!
