Iunno how ya'll play b-ball but MiamiFlash avg's 4 more RPG, Has the 4th most blocks in the league (with less games played) and beats this guy in every category except pts.. and he;s lost one game. I like my bigs gettin boards and playin D.

Seems to be a bit of a common theme around here..pts> every stat... I mean no offence to my boy welchz but he was nominated for the all star game with like 3 games played because he avg'd alot of pts.

How bout next week we look at reboundings/ matchup pts/ blocks etc when awarding POTW's. Let the bigs get a bit of love too. I'd like to see one week where the POTW is only big men or at least do a seperate POTW for Big's.. Or a Defensive POTW maybe?

If I hold my matchup to 4 pts, a c-, beat him on rebounds, finish with some blocks I'd consider that to be a good peformance.

 

I do like the ideas you brought up, but averaging a lot of points didn't help flashy pass led zeo cause he averages like 9-10 more than me I think so it wasn't that way for everyone.

 

Like I was telling some of the owners. The Allstar game is based off of a popularity vote. Yao Ming/Grant Hill and others would get voted in as a starter without even playing a game. The stats may not be the single reason why they get in over the next guy. Did people get snubbed yes, but we aren't fielding a roster of 12 either.

This was an optional addition I decided to add in to get more traffic to the league and give it more interest to guys on the outside looking in.

If you're butthurt, I'm sorry, this wasn't my intent. However, if someone wants to make a Snub article this is the time to do it!

Defensive POTW nominations would be nice. Bigs need love. That's all im saying. Getting pt's is awesome but im never going to put up 30 attempts in a game.

I mean I really could if I wanted to but @Rammered would trade me. More Festus less Bogut

I did make a spreadsheet for doing match-up averages for the week but it's all in fun like he said. I'm gonna bring it to tris so we can get it on next version of lgba but we're still ironing out links on what we have.

I do agree it is a bit much on points and getting other guys but it's on who's doing potw to investigate and find that.

And just remember it was the owners who made this list up, and members who voted. They weren't allowed to vote for their own teams and they decided the parameters for who they thought were deserving.


I think it's a fun addition for a league that has no media team

 

I've already talked to Tris about doing a players of the night at all the positions like the LGHL and the LGFA and he said once he gets done with this new LGv5 or whatever its called he will be working on that to bring to this league.
