Ideas for ESPN 2K5 and next season

Doesn't matter since I can do the same thing with Chris Brown. The only reason Eddie didn't get the rushing title again was because I would pull him every game before or after halftime and use Chris Brown. Check out the top ten rushers. I think Larry Johnson was the only RB to have fewer carries. I was shooting to have MCNair, George and Mason in the top ten in each category which I did. BTW, McNair and Mason are both rated 94.

Also, I just messed around with the league stuff and it's possible to boot players out of the league. It falls under the Manage Players menu for the league admin.

 

How do you have it already, and nobody else has received their copy?

Thanks for the early review. I'll hold onto my $19.99 then and wait for Madden if 200yd rushing games and 400yd passing games are as common as they were last season.

What difficulty setting you playing on Darthor? I'm assuming All-Pro but hoping Pro. You having a lot of dropped passes? EGM cited that as a flaw. Oh, how's the defense worse? Examples please.

well ,I wouldnt make the call yet.

They may have exercised caution for once and just made minor tweaks rather than the 180 degree turn most gaming companies do when they make changes

 

Indigo, yesterday when you posted that we were probably going to go with ESPN NFL 2K5, and then look at Madden as an option after season 4, I hope this opinion changes, as it is pretty much the same game, new rosters and online leagues. I have been talking to some friends in Ohio who have the game also, and they are telling me that it is the exact same. They say that tackles as Darthor said, break just as easily, and with 13 rushes in the 1st half with the Bengals in the first half, Rudi Johnson had 214 yards on All-Pro against the Patriots. Also, Carson Palmer was 11 of 14 with 156 yards also in the first half.

Seems very un-sim and everything to me.

As Jon said, despite the game being only $20, I think I am going to save it and not waste my money, just so that I can buy Madden.

 

Eddie is rated 81 and Brown is 74. Sadly Brown doesn't break tackles as good as last season's game. Ouch. Dreading that first online roster update.

 

Madden is 3 weeks away, that's not a very long time to wait. I think in that time ESPN can get plenty of evaulation and then Madden will come out and there can be a comparison.

 

I'm playing on the league settings from season 3. I played against Indy and Detroit so far. Indy drops nothing and Detroit drops nothing (especially Roy Williams, their highest rated WR). As a matter of fact I believe after 2 games Mason has dropped 1 pass and Bennett has dropped none. So no problems with dropped passes and I'd actually say the WR's hold onto the ball better after a wicked hit. Last year those hits would've produced an incomplete pass. Defense, namely pass D seems way too loose. Getting beat on short passes way too often and consistent even when you move your DB's up into Bump and Run to the inside or outside. Doesn't matter from what I can tell. Harrison and Williams killed me on the outside.

I cant remember for sure but I think the only RB that burned me last season was Ricky.

 

Account, obviously they can play if they were playing against the computer, offline on All-Pro, 5 minute quarters. They always play 4 full games each offline, before they ever go to the online mode. They don't play against each other until after they have played all of those games offline agaisnt the computer.

 

All Im saying is you're going to have 1 of 2 things.

You're either going to have a game where the computer does a lot for you or a game where people get burned for huge numbers because they play like knucklheads.

BTW it wasnt Ricky it was Faulk that got me for 180 last season.
