what's even funnier is that my Rangers are 3rd from the bottom, but I'm not having those issues. I've had maybe, 3 errors in 15 games. So, I think your right, it must be you.
I'm not comparing National and American. I simply stating that the pitchers in this game hit too well. My own pitchers! I am never really worried when my pitcher comes to the plate. It's a part of the game that bugs me.
Oh.. I actually have one pitcher who has hot and cold spots like a normal batter. But most of my pitchers suck when it comes to batting. Of course, my pitchers suck pitching too.:?
I have compiled every teams errors per game in our season. Their should be no complaining what so ever after looking at these averages. :bchiw: 1.25 :arad: 1.18 :balo: 1.17 :bsf: 1.09 :bnyy: 1.0 :bsd: 0.92 :bmin: 0.86 :bmil: 0.81 :anaa: 0.80 :bhou: 0.78 :bla: 0.73 :bkc: 0.71 :chic: 0.70 :bosr: 0.64 :btb: 0.64 :cinnr: 0.62 :bphi: 0.60 :boak: 0.57 :bcol: 0.55 :bstl: 0.54 :bsea: 0.54 :bdet: 0.50 :btex: 0.53 :bmon: 0.50 :btor: 0.50 :bpit: 0.42 :bnym: 0.36 (not exactly sure what you are complaining about Shush? ) :batl: 0.27 :bcle: 0.27 :bfla: 0.25
I am talking about the game in general and my disgust with the Pro setting. Also, the game doesn't score errors accurately. A blooper to right field that bounces over Garcia's head is scored an HR Thirdly, I'm sure there is some "human error" with stat inputting so those figures aren't 100%. And for the record, I know that Vdub knows that I know what Noisce should know is that I know VDub knows I know he's kidding.
I realize those stats are not entirely accurate and human error happens also when inputting stats. You also have to remember though that the computer gives out errors sometimes to infield singles. In the end I think it balances everything out and overall this game on our league settings give a decent simulation of actual mlb. There has been blowouts but their have been more low scoring pitching duels. Also I think that if we bumped up the difficulty setting there would be an increase in these marathon games that have been happening.
Like it was posted before they don't count a lot of obvious things. For example the only run I scored in my series with soad was a blooper to the outfiled that bounced over his CF's head and Ordonez got an in the park homerun. I don't think they counted that as an error
Yep that was counted as a homer. That really doesn't happen too often. Only time it has happened to me this season and I got one against Socalguy. Thats only two times in my 14 games. Also infield singles where the runner beats out the throw is counted as an error most of the time when they should actually be singles. As I said before I think it all balances out.
To get back on topic... Regarding pitching rotation, goalie and I are discussing way to allow changes - however it will be a one time only event. The All-Star Break would be a good opportunity to change pitching rotations. You will not be able to change pitchers every week. We will have our decision by the end of the weekend. The game is playing fine at the settings we are currently at. Of course there are going to be those who are better than others, but I think so far, it's been competitive. We will discuss making change for next season - this season will remain on Pro.
In a real game, the official scorer might not give an error on that play if the CF was making a play on the ball and couldn't get there. That's how inside the park HR's usually happen in real life. An OF will make a vain attempt to catch the fly, but come up short (not an error though, as it wasn't a catchable ball), and then the ball goes to the fence allowing the hitter to go all the way around to home. I'm guessing what you're talking about is not a missed dive though, but where you placed your OF too far back from the shadow of the ball and it dropped in front of you and went over your head. Yeah, it's pretty much an error, but the scorer/game isn't going to give one on that. It's usually just throwing errors and actual dropped balls (anything that hits a fielder's glove but is not caught).
Lucky you. My pitching staff is 1 for 23 at the plate. Only 6 K's for against them though, so I guess the opposition is taking it easy on my #9 hitters and letting me ground out.
I like the pro setting. Problem with playing on all-star or legend is you can put the pitch exactly where you want it everytime (least it seems that way). I'd rather have the occasional random hanger then that.
.5 errors per game and every single one of them are from Eric Munson my 3rd baseman. I leave him in there until i can get a lead then i switch in greg norton who never makes errors....thats IF i do get a lead which i have been having problems with lol
This couldn't be because some people swing at EVERYTHING could it? We dont need worse pitching trust me. I've seen enough of it. Look at my stats they tell the whole story. You got to remember I'm not losing here... I'm killing some people because it is hang fest were every pitch is floating right down the middle. I'm not saying I'm all against missed spots but I am against the balling hanging down the middle. Of course the ball shouldnt hit that exact spot you want to throw it everytime, but in my opinion it should still be in the general area. In real life if I TRIED to throw it in the dirt... I'm pretty sure I could.
