Fundraising for BC wildfires

Hey guys with the support of Managment I have gotten the approval to post this on the boards.


As some of you may know British Columbia has been ravaged by wildfires thoughout the central interior and Caribou region. Numerous towns have been evacuated and families have been told to leave their homes. Sometimes with just a moments notice.

This is something that is near to my heart for numerous reasons.
- I had a girlfriend up in Williams Lake and although we didn't remain together her family was always extremely nice and caring to me.
- My Grandparents live up in the Caribou about 25 minutes outside of the fire zone and are on evacuation alert. They could be evacuated at a moments notice once it becomes an order.
- My great Uncle lives in Prince George where a lot of the evacuees are being taken.


So I have several reasons to be concened about what Is going on.


So I'm raising money for the fire fighters and those that have been displaced by the fire. I don't care what you can donate. .50, $1 , $2, $2,000. It doesn't matter to me.

In turn , I am putting my beard on the line. I have not shaved in over 16 months. If we can get any type of donations going I will shave my beard.

Anyone guys???? This is honestly pretty depressing that on all platforms nobody has donated.

 

I would rather just donate the money to a local cause sorry.

 

I'm pretty sure people would rather donate to a legitimate organization than someone they they don't know, and have no way of knowing that the money will actually be going towards the BC fires.

On another note maybe if you waxed your taint and then glued the hairs onto your beard you'd get some more donations.

if you wanna legit help out then get off your fucking couch and instead of posting a crowd fund on a few website forums strap on your fucking boots and help out somewhere.

 

Listen buddy , you suggesting that my cause was anything less than legitimate is completely uncalled for
1. I have friends and family in the interior that have been on alert, and I've seen the pain and worry they are going through.
2. You know nothing about me or who I am, so to insinuate that I won't shave my beard to people that donate is just off base dude.


Look man if you don't want to contribute or feel the same I do.... Then just don't contribute , but don't call my character into question.... That is totally uncalled for man..

no one cares what pain you've "seen" and again if you're that concerned get off of your ass and go down to your local evacuation center to help some of these people, like the rest of people that wanna help are doing.

I started vacation on Friday and have been helping packing boxes of unparishables as Saturday afternoon. So don't sit there and say, " go and help".

Cause I have... And I will continue for the next 5 days.

Again, if you don't like me ... Fine dude... But don't sit there and make accusations about me that you don't know...

And again , if you don't wanna donate to me ... Fine... Donate to the Red Cross or to whatever you want ... Or nothing at all...
