and for those who keep saying i just "stole" the team, i had approached accountblocked about this issue over a week ago.

i will admit that he never gave me COMPLETE PERMISSION, but he did say he would take Houston over the Phillies. I assumed (i guess incorrectly) that he would be willing to exchange the Phillies for a team he had ranked higher. also, i PM'd him in advance about this, and he never responded to those.

the ONLY responses he has made have been here in public.

Here, i thought i gave him his #2 team, above his #4 team.

 

burnt we all know what you would do in this situation. The bottom line is it doesn't involve you. Please stop adding fuel to the fire. We are trying to make everyone happy here. You don't know all the facts. Let the commish work this out.

Whats done is done. I can see both sides of the argument and if we haven't learned anything from Team Links we need specific rules outlining how things are done. I believe we will get that now. I certainly believe Goalie was doing what he thought was best for both parties involved.

Having read that, I don't see why he would be diappointed with :bsf: , If I can remember correctly, :bhou: was my second or third choice. I would say let's just stick with the teams we have and play ball.

 

I don't get it? Why is this important again? This is like really old news here as it dates back over a month ago. I only assume you want someone to comment on this because you have now posted this reference several times with no one responding, so here I am... to the rescue! Response made. It has been read and acknowledged and duely noted for future discussion (I really hope not).

The point goalie is trying to make is that SF was higher on his priority list than Phi. He assumed accountblocked would be happy with a choice that was higher on his list.

 

The team was not the point. The point was that there is a league gaming rule that once you have a team, you can not part with it unwillingly, unless you are forcefully removed from the league. Goalie even posted that he never got COMPLETE PERMISSION from accountblocked to give up the Phillies, yet account lost them anyway. You can not just take a team from someone just because you want them. That is what started this mess of a thread to begin with.

 

Even though he had San Fran higher on his list, that was over a month ago and things change. Im sure since he's played all his pre-season games with Philly and done a great job with that pithcing staff he would want to keep them. I know I would want to keep with he team I used throughout pre season since now you are aware of what all your players can and cannot do. Changing teams would mean trying to figure out all the ins and outs of that new team, and that would suck especially now that games are going to count for something.

 

The team was not taken from him arbitrarily. There is more to the story than anyone in this thread knows. Goalie is handling this situation.

Holy hammered christ, goalie you have got to be the most stubborn son of a gun I ever come across. I've posted 45 times that I would have probably gave you the team if you had just asked yet you still try and justify this crap and refuse to ask for the team nicely.

And yes I put the two closest teams to me first because thats what the instructions in the sign up thread said and I figured that gave me the best chance to make the majors. I hadnt been playing with the phillies at the time. Now after my experience with Millwood I do really like them but like I told you just clear it with me first.

Heres the whole story

Goalie was the phillies in AAA. He became an commisioner and since he was going to move himself up to the majors he wanted the phillies in that league.

I think the phillies were my 3rd choice because I put SF and Seattle ahead of them just based on location.
I like the phillies

well, i ask because i run the phils in the AAA, and a there's probably going to be some turnover before the real season. i was hoping to keep the Phils if i move up, but i would never move you without your OK.

if you want either of the other 2, instead of the Phils, i will see what i can do.

as for the phil's defense - it IS atrocious! i thought it was just me... now i don't feel so bad!
