PSN CanAm vIII

Its that time of year again in LG, CanAm.

What is CanAm: It is the best-of-the-best face between USA v Canada in a best of 25 series. Rosters are comprised of 30 roster players, 5 full lines of 6 [the 5th line is considered a reserve line].

Info: This event is looking to run during the off-season of LG, tentative dates being Jan 28th-Feb 11th. Teams will be selected by a Management Group of 3-4 selected to run their respective countries' teams. Team selection process will happen through January 14th. Both teams will be required to run tryouts to promote finding the best players for the teams and not just picking friends. We are discussing this event being open to everyone (PS4 and Xbox) because this event historically only happens on one console we dont want to restrict having the best competition.

History: Canada is thus far undefeated in PSN CanAm, we are still waiting for the Miracle on Ice in LG. Can-2 USA-0.


We are out to see what kind of interest we have in this event this year. If we gather enough to run CanAm then individual countries will post recruitment threads. In this thread we are looking for replies stating interest, country affiliation and position.

This event reminds me of my middle school days in gym class where I would watch everyone get picked instead of me

if someone would like to set that up then i’d be all for it, i just feel like people should start making the switch to xbox at some point as that is where the good competition is.

This has been genuinely discussed. this event will likely overlap with eshl; eshl will be main xbox now, we'd like to keep the ps4 community involved and growing and we think this event can help that. we want to keep it open to xbox guys who would like to participate and own a ps4 (obviously). If the trend continues to look like the xbox side will be dominant we will look at running this on xbox in the future.
