Hey AHL! Sorry I didn't get the Power Rankings out last week. The Rankings were done Saturday, but when I went to do the write ups on Sunday, I separated my shoulder in a hockey game and was in the hospital emergency room for most of the evening. However, I have both Week 3's and Week 4's Power Rankings included in this!!!

    2 - Lake Erie Monsters (19-6-1): 6-2-1 - Last Week’s Ranking: Non-Existent

Lake Erie earned 2nd spot going 6-2-1 this week. The re-emergence of the Monsters in Lake Erie is utterly shocking, but they did deserve it this week. Now, it’s time to appreciate the Media more :)
    3 - Grand Rapids Griffins (15-3-2): 6-3-0 - Last Week’s Ranking: 3 (Even)
    4 - Manitoba Moose (15-10-2): 4-3-2 - Last Week’s Ranking: 5 (Up 1)

    8 - Ontario Reign (10-15-2): 2-7-0 - Last Week’s Ranking: 3 (Down 5)

    Week 4 Power Rankings
    Eastern Atlantic Division
    1 - Wilkes Barre Scranton Penguins (18-14-4): 6-1-2 - Last Week’s Ranking: 6 (Up 5)

This week, the baby Penguins really stepped up to the plate, going a Atlantic best 6-1-2 in Week 4. Although they currently sit 3rd in their division, they’re slowly putting the right pieces together to get the job done. Through 4 weeks, this team is led offensively by goalie turned forward @l Scopes x l20l (9-2-0, 20G-21A-41P, +30) and also by last season MVP @Aarskog (5-6-1, 21G-16A-37P, +9). Doing all the right things on the blue line are @KEMPER8 (7-4-1, 4G-5A-9P, +13) and @ImxMrxSoLoDoLo (5-2-2, 0G-14A-14P, +14). In between the pipes, both goalies have had their fair share of struggles, but seem to be splitting games equally enough. @joek5 (6-12-1, 71.5 Save%, 3.5 GAA) has faced 239 shots over 19 games this season, allowing 68 goals (171/239). Joek is averaging 12.5 shots against per game and saving an average of 9 of those shots per game. His counterpart, @Larsbone x605 (11-7-2, 76.4 Save%, 3.09 GAA) has faced 258 shots over 20 games this season, allowing 61 goals (197/258). Larsbone is averaging 12.9 shots against per game and saving an average of 9.85 of those shots per game.

    2 - Hartford Wolf Pack (25-8-3): 6-2-1 - Last Week’s Ranking: 2 (Even)

Hartford, as they have done all season, continues to dominate the Atlantic division. Despite them being #2 in these rankings, they are currently the #1 team in the entire Eastern Conference. Offence seems to be their powerhouse as many of their forwards already have over 20 points. However, @IIx OMARK xII (10-1-1, 16G-23A-39P, +30) and @sicka moose (8-1-2, 19G-14A-33P, +25) seem to be leading that charge. Their defensive core seems to be quite solid, with the exception of @Tiddus, but he must just be sore and tired from swinging his hammer a lot this season. On the bright side of things, @maxymus24 (9-3-0, 3G-10A-13P, +12) and @UnoX Clouds (9-2-1, 0G-10A-10P, +18) are picking up for their Commish teammate’s slack. Standing in the crease for the Wolf Pack is the best goalie duo, in my opinion (Sorry Rockford, face more shots to qualify) in the league. GM and “Starter” @Tatar I21I (11-6-2, 80.8 Save%, 2.76 GAA) has done his fair share through 19 games. Tatar has faced 276 shots over 19 games, allowing 53 goals (223/276). Tatar is currently facing 14.5 shots against per game, saving an average of 11.7 of those shots per game. His counterpart is rocking it between the pipes and it is quite surprising. @Im_Faces (14-2-1, 84.6 Save%, 2.11 GAA) has truly been Hartford’s rock in between the pipes. Faces has faced 240 shots over 17 games, allowing 37 goals (203/240). Faces is currently facing 14.1 shots against per game, saving an averaging of 11.9 of those shots per game. The question is: “Who is the true starter in Hartford?”

    3 - Hershey Bears (19-16-1): 5-4-0 - Last Week’s Ranking: 1 (Down 2)

Another week above .500 for the Bears, going 5-4-0 in Week 4. Currently sitting 4th in the Atlantic division, they continue to look like they need that one extra push forward. They aren’t doing bad, but they keep jumping up and down in the standings. A little consistency may help this team out a bit, or if their GM makes an appearance (5 games played through 4 weeks) Offensively, they’re not doing great but they are led by @Il VENOMx (8-4-0, 15G-15G-30P, +7) and @l Bolts x 91 l (7-3-0, 11G-16A-27P, +5). Defensively, they’re a little more solid than their forwards, but not by much. However, @ButtaBorborygmi (8-3-0, 4G-8A-12P, +5) seems to know what’s needed to win. @Brassard x 16 (7-5-0, 3G-8A-11P, +1) is the next best defenceman on this team which is kind of upsetting with the season that @SlapShot1219 had last season. Between the pipes, @A Slanted Neck (12-10-0, 76 Save%, 3.04 GAA) seems to be the clear starter for the Bears. Slanted has faced 271 shots over 22 games this season, allowing 65 goals (206/271). Slanted is averaging 12.3 shots against per game and saving an average of 9.4 of those shots per game. His counterpart @Demented Christ (4-6-3, 77.5 Save%, 3.09 GAA) was traded over to Hershey this weekend. However, Demented has faced 187 shots in 13 starts this season, allowing 42 goals (145/187). Christ is currently averaging 14.4 shots against per game, and is saving an average of 11.2 of those shots per game. Hopefully he can bring some veteran goaltending to the table and give Hershey that much needed push.

    4 - Bridgeport Sound Tigers (9-25-2): 5-4-0 - Last Week’s Ranking: 7 (Up 3)

HOLY SHIT! THEY WON MORE GAMES THIS WEEK THAN THEY DID IN THE FIRST 3 WEEKS COMBINED!

    5 - Providence Bruins (21-12-3): 4-4-1 - Last Week’s Ranking: 5 (Even)
    6 - Lehigh Valley Phantoms (17-14-5): 3-5-1 - Last Week’s Ranking: 4 (Down 2)
    7 - Springfield Thunderbirds (13-16-7): 2-4-3 - Last Week’s Ranking: 3 (Down 4)

    Eastern North Division
    1 - Albany Devils (23-10-3): 7-1-1 - Last Week’s Ranking: 3 (Up 2)

Wow, this is an odd sight. Binghamton nor Rochester atop the Eastern North Rankings? I blame @Dan Hutton and his collusion skills. Kidding aside, I still love you Dan. Albany was LG’s ranked #1 team this week in the league, going 7-1-1 (Idk how when 2 teams won 8 games). Leading the way offensively through 36 games this season, @Soxfan7744 (10-1-1 24G-20A-44P, +23) and @Dan Hutton (8-3-1, 14G-21A-35P, +10) are doing the job well. It’s unfortunate that Dan has to be there though. Defensively, it’s no shocker that their GM isn’t one of the top 2 defencemen on this team, since he’s terrible at the game. They are led by @KuroiTaiyou (7-4-1, 0G-6A-6P, +14) and @Gnashty41 (8-2-2, 1G-11A-12P, +6). This team seems to have one clear starting goalie and one backup goalie. @adidaht88 (15-7-2, 79.8 Save%, 2.7 GAA) is having a good starting season for the Devils. He has faced 331 shots in his 24 starts, allowing 67 goals (264/331). Adidaht is averaging 13.8 shots against per game and is saving an average of 11 of those shots per game. His backup, @xHabs022 (8-3-1, 79.6 Save%, 2.41 GAA) is also having a great season. Habs has faced 142 shots in 12 starts, allowing 29 goals (113/142). Habs is averaging 11.8 shots against per game, and is saving an average of 9.4 of those shots per game.

    2 - Rochester Americans (24-8-4): 5-3-1 - Last Week’s Ranking: 2 (Even)

Rochester had a subpar week for them this week, only going 5-3-1. However, that does not stop them from being 1st in the North Division, and 2nd in the conference (1 point behind Hartford). Through 4 weeks, they’ve put most of their talented squad to the test against tough lines and/or tough teams. Offensively, all of their forwards have between 26-30 points, which is a nice balance and definitely difficult to find. They are specifically led by @MJ23 x Cash (8-4-0, 14G-16A-30P, +15) and @Konecny x 11 (8-2-2, 12G-17A-29P, +4). Defensively, the Americans are led by AGM @Zacha l 37 l (9-2-1, 5G-7A-12P, +10) and @GroceryStickl5l (9-2-1-, 2G-6A-8P, +6). This appears to be Rochester’s weakest link, after such consistency up front. In net, @B4NKS (12-3-2, 81.1 Save%, 2.32 GAA) is continuing his dominance from last season. Banks has faced 212 shots over 17 games, allowing 40 goals (172/212). Banks is averaging 12.5 shots against per game, and is saving an average of 10.1 of those shots per game. His counterpart, @Ballzy06 (12-5-2, 79.6 Save%, 2.65 GAA) is also having a stellar season. Ballzy has faced 265 over 19 games, allowing 54 goals (211/265). Ballzy is averaging 13.9 shots against per game, and is saving an average of 11.1 of those shots per game.

    3 - Utica Comets (19-15-2): 5-4-0 - Last Week’s Ranking: 5 (Up 2)

Utica had another above .500 week this week, going 5-4-0. However, that did not stop the team from doing a major shakeup in terms of trades. It appears that half of their roster is brand new coming into Week 5. However, they are offensively led by @Gilbzey (6-4-0, 13G-12A-25P, +5) and @ShortyxLOSE (4-8-0, 13G-10A-23P, -10). It’s unusual for a team, that did somewhat well in a week, to flip their entire team. Defensively, they are led by @Giroux (8-2-2, 2G-9A-11P, +10) and @Cavanaugh53 (6-6-0, 1G-15A-16P, -2). It’s truly hard to judge a team when half their players are brand new. In net for the Comets is @Diabolic Viper (10-7-0, 76.8 Save%, 2.98 GAA) who is having an alright season at best. Viper has faced 220 shots over 17 games, allowing 51 goals (169/220). Viper is averaging 12.9 shots against per game, and is saving an average of 9.9 of those shots per game. His counterpart @a Living Pylon (6-6-3, 81.6 Save%, 2.89 GAA) was acquired over the weekend from the Ice Caps. Pylon has faced 244 shots over 15 games, allowing 45 goals (199/244). Pylon is averaging 16.3 shots against per game, and is saving an average of 13.3 of those shots per game.

    4 - Toronto Marlies (17-15-4): 5-4-0 - Last Week’s Ranking: 4 (Even)
    5 - Binghamton Senators (23-8-5): 3-4-2 - Last Week’s Ranking: 1 (Down 4)
    6 - Syracuse Crunch (10-22-4): 3-5-1 - Last Week’s Ranking: 7 (Up 1)
    7 - St. John’s Ice Caps (15-17-4): 2-6-1 - Last Week’s Ranking: 6 (Down 1)

    Western Central Division
    1 - Cleveland Monsters (27-6-3): 8-0-1 - Last Week’s Ranking: 2 (Up 1)

Cleveland was clearly a little mad that they went non-existent in Week 2. But I mean, with they had in Week 2, I’d want to be non-existent as well. Seems to have kickstarted their comeback and have gone 15-1-2 in their past 18 games. Offensively, they are led by @Beta Celly (9-2-1, 16G-28A-44P, +13) and @mferra32 (8-3-1, 22G-19A-41P, +10). Despite their apparent abundance of scoring, they are also seem to allow a lot of goals (specifically that line, judging by their lower +/-). Defensively, they are led by @S2NxPuckStopp3r (9-0-1, 0G-3A-3P, +24) and @l Landeskog l (8-2-1, 3G-5A-8P, +12). It seems that @Gucci Clorox has also found his way to Cleveland’s blue line, after 4 weeks, but that isn’t surprising. In net, the Monsters have another strong tandem pair. @BS PAINTRAIN 19 (12-3-2, 79.3 Save%, 2.35 GAA) is doing as well as last season. Paintrain has faced 193 shots over 17 games, allowing 40 goals (153/193). Paintrain is averaging 11.4 shots against per game, and is saving an average of 9 of those shots per game. His counterpart, @l Rockystar l (13-2-1, 82.8 Save%, 2.16 GAA) is having one of his best seasons ever. Rocky has faced 209 shots over 16 games, allowing 36 goals (173/209). Rocky is averaging 13.1 shots against per game, and is saving an average of 10.8 of those shots per game.

    2 - Rockford Icehogs (33-3-0): 8-1-0 - Last Week’s Ranking: 1 (Down 1)

Gosh, I think someone needs to check Rockford players for PEDs. 9-0, 8-1, 8-1 and 8-1 to start the season? 33-3? 66 out of a possible 72 points? @Im4thLineWorthy, what are you feeding your players and where can I get some? Rockford is having a season for the ages and it’s hard to actually tell you who is their top players when their team is practically flawless. However, @Scumbag Jared (12-0-0, 11G-24A-35P, +27) and GM @Im4thLineWorthy (11-0-0, 20G-15A-35P, +24) are leading their team offensively. Defensively, this team is a gem, but @KeBrik (12-0-0, 0G-10A-10P, +23) and @Neil x 25 (11-1-0, 1G-6A-7P, +24) are the top two defencemen getting the job done. In net, they have the best tandem statistically, but they have faced as many shots combined as some goalies have faced in 20-24 games this season. Starting with @l sergei x 91 l (14-1-0, 83.2 Save%, 1.58 GAA), his only loss came to getting smashed by Hartford. Sergei has faced 143 shots over 15 games, allowing 24 goals (119/143). Sergei is averaging 9.5 shots against per game, and is saving an average of 7.9 of those shots per game. His counterpart, @ll 7th ll (18-2-0, 86.4 Save%, 1.42 GAA), who only got a bid because his best friend is the GM, must be glad that he is on Rockford. 7th has faced 213 shots over 20 games, allowing 29 goals (184/213). 7th is averaging 10.7 shots against per game, and is saving an average of 9.2 of those shots per game.

    3 - Charlotte Checkers (19-14-3): 6-2-1 - Last Week’s Ranking: 7 (Up 4)

Charlotte is featured 3rd in this week’s installment of the Power Rankings. After shitting the bed in the first 3 weeks, it’s about time that they start playing the way that they are capable of. It is a shit show and a cluster fuck of stats in Charlotte. Offensively, they are led by @Cynthesis21 (7-4-1, 12G-15A-27P, -1) and @Luffer17 (7-2-0, 17G-6A-23P, +4). After those two, there is not much fire power on this roster. Defensively, again, it is quite a gongshow. They are led by @Azkika (7-2-2, 0G-9A-9P, +15) and AGM @JimGottaXBOX (7-4-1, 1G-4A-5P, +5). After that, there isn’t much depth, besides @FtB x Grizz who is struggling so far this season. In net, AGM @DA JABR0NY (11-10-3, 79.6 Save%, 2.6 GAA) is the clear starter and is a veteran goaltender with tons of league experience. It’s not a shocker that he is playing 6 games a week, every week. Jabrony has faced 324 shots over 24 games, allowing 66 goals (258/324). Jabrony is averaging 13.5 shots against per game, and is saving an average of 10.8 of those shots per game. His backup, @Ratty68 (8-4-0, 70.1 Save%, 3.56 GAA) isn’t having the greatest season. Ratty has faced 137 shots over 12 games, allowing 41 goals (96/137). Ratty is averaging 11.4 shots against per game, and is saving an average of 8 of those shots per game.

    4 - Grand Rapids Griffins (20-13-3): 5-3-1 - Last Week’s Ranking: 3 (Down 1)
    5 - Manitoba Moose (19-15-2): 4-5-0 - Last Week’s Ranking: 4 (Down 1)
    6 - Iowa Wild (11-18-7): 4-5-0 - Last Week’s Ranking: 5 (Down 1)
    7 - Milwaukee Admirals (14-21-1): 4-5-0 - Last Week’s Ranking: 8 (Up 1)
    8 - Chicago Wolves (18-17-1): 2-6-1 - Last Week’s Ranking: 6 (Down 2)

    Western Pacific Division
    1 - San Diego Gulls (20-13-3): 7-2-0 - Last Week’s Ranking: 5 (Up 4)

San Diego is finally back at the top. Started the season very strong, then got raped by their NHL and now back to the top of the Pacific. The Gulls went 7-2-0 in Week 4, pushing them back to a 1 point lead for first in the Pacific. Offensively, the Gulls are led by @BuddyWhackit7 (10-1-1, 22G-21A-43P, +16) and @Kronwall x l55l (4-6-2, 22G-18A-40P, +/- 0). There is definitely no lack of scoring in San Diego, I just wonder if they’ve been able to keep it out of their net with guys scoring so much. Defensively, they are led by @JTRx91 (9-2-1, 0G-7A-7P, +10) and @Hammy x 27 (8-2-2, 2G-16A-18P, +6). Hopefully their other defence can pick up the slack and start piecing together some wins. In net, we see another strong duo. Starter @IVIDewMan (16-5-2, 77.7 Save%, 2.45 GAA) has been having another good season. Dewman has faced 269 shots over 23 games, allowing 60 goals (209/269). Dewman is averaging 11.7 shots against per game, and is saving an average of 9.1 of those shots per game. His counterpart @xx BROWN xx31 (4-7-1, 74.7 Save%, 3.15 GAA) is having a very uncharacteristic season in net. Brown has faced 150 shots over 12 games, allowing 38 goals (112/150). Brown is averaging 12.5 shots against per game, and is saving an average of 9.3 of those shots per game.

    2 - Tucson Roadrunners (20-14-2): 6-3-0 - Last Week’s Ranking: 2 (Even)

The Mighty Roadrunners had another solid week, to start in the top 2 of the Pacific. Going 6-3-0 for what seems like the 3rd straight week, it seems like the Roadrunners have made a statement saying “This is where we belong.” Offensively, they are led by @Lorenzo x 24 (7-5-0, 21G-12A-33P, +4) and @l Stastny26 l (8-3-0, 7G-20A-27P, +5). Defensively, they have been solid and led by @l Ristolainen l (8-3-1, 2G-8A-10P, +5) and @Gnora x 14 (8-3-1, 3G-6A-9P, +6) which is quite shocking since Risto isn’t very good at this game. In between the pipes, @PHJ314 (12-9-1, 75.8 Save%, 3.24 GAA) seems to be their go-to guy despite struggling as of late. PHJ has faced 306 shots over 22 games, allowing 74 goals (232/306). PHJ is averaging 13.9 shots against per game, and is saving an average of 10.5 of those shots per game. Backup and recent star goalie @Ranger x 28 (8-5-1, 81 Save%, 2.64 GAA) has been getting more games recently. Ranger has faced 189 shots over 14 games, allowing 36 goals (153/189). Ranger is averaging 13.5 shots against per game, and is saving an average of 10.2 of those shots per game.

    3 - Ontario Reign (15-19-2): 5-4-0 - Last Week’s Ranking: 8 (Up 5)

Despite being 6th in the tight and “Shitty” Pacific division, the Ontario Reign find themselves 3rd in this week’s Power Rankings. Going just over .500 in this division goes a long way. Offensively, the Reign aren’t too special but they are led by @P3k1ng DuK (8-3-1, 9G-22A-31P, +7) and @lX WAGNER lX (6-5-1, 16G-11A-27P, -5) Again, not much special there, as their second best forward is already in the negatives. Manning the blue line, the Reign have a top 2 that include @General Jobo (7-5-0, 3G-9A-12P, +8) and @Xx CousinAvi xX (7-5-0, 3G-10A-13P, +6). At least they have one defensive pair that is over .500 and is showing up to play. In the crease for the Reign, they have two new goalies already this season. Their starter @Mastadon31 (7-7-2, 75.9 Save%, 3.08 GAA) seems to be struggling quite a bit. Mastadon has faced 212 shots over 16 games, allowing 51 goals (161/212). Mastadon is averaging 13.3 shots against per game, and is saving an average of 10.1 of those shots per game. His new backup @Kalculat3d (0-2-0, 67.6 Save%, 6.08 GAA) has abysmal stats and I wouldn’t even call him a backup. Maybe an 8th string… Kalculated has faced 37 shots over 2 games, allowing 12 goals (25/37). Kalculated is averaging 18.5 shots against per game, and is saving an average of 12.5 of those shots per game.

    4 - Bakersfield Condors (14-17-5): 4-4-1 - Last Week’s Ranking: 6 (Up 2)
    5 - San Antonio Rampage (14-18-4): 4-4-1 - Last Week’s Ranking: 7 (Up 2)
    6 - Texas Stars (15-19-2): 3-5-1 - Last Week’s Ranking: 1 (Down 5)
    7 - Stockton Heat (16-16-4): 3-6-0 - Last Week’s Ranking: 3 (Down 4)
    8 - San Jose Barracuda (12-20-4): 1-8-0 - Last Week’s Ranking: 4 (Down 4)
RIP Leddy. Just kidding, fuck you.

Shouldnt power rankings say SOMETHING about all teams? Great write up but why not at least a line about the rest of those teams?

Yea that makes sense right? Unfortunately this isnt the "lets recognize the good teams" its power rankings. Therefore you can write something about all the teams. Like i said a line or two, you can even write what u think the team lacks? Their weak link? Highlight whos playing horrendous who cares lol

It sounds like Trip is volunteering to be an assistant writer to help you fill in the gaps, @Da Young Buck.

Now, now Buck. Lets accept the suggestions, process and move on. @TripAcez These write ups take a lot of time and effort. Some guys spread the writing out over several days using free time to get it done. Others like myself and just bang one out in 2-4 hours during the wee hours of the night. Bucks rankings include a lot of stats and that requires time to research asking for all teams to have a write up even a small one sounds nice until you add another hour + of work to the pile. We are providing the material the best way we can and truth is most teams on the bottom don't want to be recognized for futility. We are always looking for willing guys to grab a slice of the media pizza and if your hungry come on over and get your fill.
