Those are the facts of the trade...
My opinions on the trade are this...
I supposed we can say Kerm and faces are equal skill BUT kerm is 2 mil faces is 7.5 (IMO Kerm is better)
We can pretty easily say Devils is a career better dman and def this season the better dman compared to Kemper.
That leaves Fake Father and Motown and this is where the trade makes me go ?????. Not even close career wise and not even close career wise, this is where the trades gets stupid lopsided for me.

Few things to note here

For those that dont know, Cronk signed up as a goalie originally for this season and quit mid bidding before his bid ran out and signed back up as a forward, making him eligible to be randomly assigned to any team at the beginning of the season. WINNER: @POOPIE SNOOPY and LVP. A big note to take here is that, that means cronk comes back as a 500k contract when he was at 3 mil as a GOALIE and 8 million last season as a fwd. Yes 8 mil may be a tad of an overpayment but everyone knows cronk would go for MINIMUM 5 million in bidding.

This is my opinion on this matter, I think its a trape lol. Kav is a fantastic guy from everything ive dealt with and a solid player. I would say hes a 2nd/3rd line player that is a good addition to a team. Carl on the other hand is prob a top 7 player in the AHL, he can single handed take over and win games and is proven in playoffs, that being added on to the ridiculous 500k contract which is the best contract in all of AHL. Yes the stats for Carl arent glamorous but I did the split up of utica and LVP on purpose, LVP is not known for their offense, rather their D and G and he still went 5-2-2 there. And there lies the true issue of this seasons stats, I hate to do this becuase I love the guy but Cronk had to play with Piv this season. As great of a guy he is, Piv himself can tell you that hes not good and Carl was put on that line to straight carry a team that has struggled all season to put up goals. This to me is Buck and Hutton being buddies and thinking of a trade that is just good enough on the surface to pass as plausible but still an overall a huge net win for the Admirals and Dan. Yes I know there is a 1st involved and is what I think of it.

PS. You know how I know its a trape? The agm of Utica, who will remain unnamed, said he wouldnt have accepted this trade and also agreed that Utica was offered much better deals.

Things to Note here:
Howie was probably the most or 2nd most (to cronk) coveted tradeablepiece out there this season.
I know for a fact atleast 8 teams messaged trying to trade for him, MANY with MUCH better deals that a straight up for a first season player who has already missed 4 games. This is probably the biggest trape I have seen in 4 seasons and it strictly happened because the GM of GRG who will remain nameless, admitted to not caring anymore and doing this trade inspite of his organization. So AHL. Dan hutton 2 the rest of us- 0. Howie was forced to play 1st lines and even his gm admitted that he put his best dpair, which included howie, in with all his 3rd line forwards. Anyone who knows howie and has played with him not only know how great of a guy he is but how fucking good he is at this game, especially on defense. According to Dan, Howie is their "number 5 dman" but howie is a top pair dman on just about any team in the league.



Well along with the other thread, this thread took me TOO LONG to do. I hope people appreciate the effort that Dan, Buck, Kav, I and others that put media out for this league have to exert in getting posts and shows out.

Lets just settle this little part everyone likes to say. Am I mad I didnt get two of my good friends? Yes, who wouldnt be? Am I mad that both players were involved in trapes? Yes, clearly, who wouldnt be? Am I mad they got traded to a different team? NO you fucking ninkumpoop. If everything went down fairly and they got traded for more than I could have offered then so be it, I wouldnt be making threads about it. The "salt" you are referring to is my lack of understanding of stupidity by AHL managers this season.

 

We're gonna make playoffs. If we dont, cool I dont care I want this season to end. If we do... god damnet
