I wonder how Byrd is going to be sans performance enhancers. Its not like the guy had a lot of his fastball even with the drugs. At least Carmona and C.C. will be good to go.
I hope I get in this league, especially if 2K8 is as good as it's looking to be... Anywho, there is no power swing this year...it all depends on how well you time the swing and the direction you tell the guy to hit it in.
Is that true? Any word on if they changed the bunting controls? If they changed both those then maybe I won't be buying The Show after all.
Yea, they discussed it briefly in one of the interviews. They also mentioned how theres no way for you to hit a HR or pretty much anything strongly to the opposite field when it's an inside pitch, or when you get jammed... which is obvious stuff, but at least they fixed it. I haven't seen anything in depth on controls...so IDK about bunting, just basic throwing, pitching and hitting stuff. The pitching is gonna take a little bit to get used to, but shouldn't be that hard.
It looks like they adopted throwing meters from base to base like MVP. Every year I get hyped for baseball, so once again I am hyped! Let's hope they come thru for us this year with a really good game.
Like what a guy said on there, how can NCAA or Madden fit so much crap onto a disc and 2k not get it on there.....
Because 2k puts their work in the quality game play and not bells and wistles like the "QB cone". JK I couldnt resist. Last i heard they have new break throw with video disc, you can put 2 disc in one box. Amazing stuff these days. Whats that add to the cost, like $.10. For $60, God forbid they give you what you pay for. Translation "So they can charge us for those extras. "
Yeah that damn thing will probably come out the day before the game or some BS like that. It concerns me, it really does. If I'm some big shot, I want the demo out there, because the hardcore baseball fans already plan to buy it, but I want to pull in those disenchanted with prior editions to show them all the improvements I made and to bring others on the fence on board for launch day. Then again this scenario only works if the game is good. otherwise.... I don't want it out there for long because I haven't done much to it, and people that have a lot of time with the demo will pass on it. If people only have a couple days they can't see all the flaws and problems with it until its too late since the euphoria of playing a new baseball game gets them excited.
"The demo is in submission now so we’ll probably see that next week or the following week. He didn’t give any specific details on what it entails except that the Red Sox are included. So from that it’s safe to assume that the opposition will be either the Rockies or the Indians." That was posted on the 22nd.
Excellent points Jcon. Last year they brought the demo out the day b4. I will not dload it if that's the case because I'm already planning on buying the game.
Where the !@#$ is the demo? Maybe 2k needs to get off their asses and send it in earlier. It's amazing that somehow EA demos always come out atleast a week or two before the game but yet 2k demo's always seem to be a day or two before the game comes out. I love how 2k always seems to blame M$ but I just find it hard to believe that M$ would single out MLB for their one and only demo to hold back every year.
It really makes me think something is wrong with the game. Hell I read the review for the Show. Damn I wish I had a PS3, I know which game I would be buying...
There is always a point in the demo. There are a lot of people on the fence about this year's game because of how much the previous two sucked. 2k had a chance to really win those people back by showing off their so-called improvements with a solid demo. Instead it will likely come out the day before the game itself or after the game hits shelves. Its either laziness on their part or a move to preserve sales by not showing off the flaws in the game before the street date.
