Hello All, We are proud to officially announce that the 4th version of "leaguegaming" (aka LGv4) has been in development for the past couple months. For those new to LG, a new version of the site usually consists of reevaluating our site design, site features and other area's we can improve upon. We will be using a new forum software that will be announced at a later date. They is a ton of new "smart" features directly aimed at improving site quality and flow. This will continue our history in being the very example of innovative and creative features. So far there isn't an official release date, but stay tuned for future updates
No more CFM (so you can migrate off this ****ty host). I'd imagine a re-write of the scoreboards is in order to PHP? Hopefully you're still sticking with vb4 for the forums.
Well the plan is to still keep coldfusion for scoreboards. We got so much in there already We've made some improvements to how we use our hostings resources and over the past couple months the forums have been pretty fast and responsive.
Continuing to stick with CF just handcuffs you to a host that supports it. Your options continue to be limited in that regard as you can't just up and leave to any host who uses apache. Curious though as to what improvements you plan on making. Can't wait.
Don't get me wrong, your 100% right on that. We have actually made plans to move away from CF (Marauders created the UFC board, which is fully PHP). But a full swap isn't something you do all at once, it's something we'll have to move to one league at a time. Or maybe i can find a perfect CF host through one of my connections
