Son I had no idea you had this talent. Makes me so proud! Ill write a "critique" once I give it all a listen.
Welcome to "Critiques with Notorious" Rap album edition. So right off the top people are asking "Notorious, What do you know about rap music?" Well you let me drop a tale for you about how I became a seasoned veteran of the rap game. Growing up young Notorious was bathed in the culture of hip hop and from a young age. The boy who grew up with 2 out of his 3 dads being african american was exposed to rap, reggae, soca and dance hall early and often. Attending so many events as the only white kid I quickly turned a blind eye to colour. I grew up on the mean streets of the Maples in Winnipeg MB. Son to a more often than not single mother often I was left alone with nothing more than a create of records and and a sweet Sanyo stereo system. I spun wax and sampled some of some of the greats. Meatloaf "Bat out of hell" Billy Joel "Glass Houses" and Kenny Rodgers "The Gambler". As Yoda would say "Steeped in rich history I am." Amongst those classic urban albums I also sought out the eclectic tastes of Biz Markie, Run DMC, Big Daddy Kane and of course Kool Moe Dee. Shit dude "I go to work" is still my jam to this day! The years passed by, Friends came and went, Michael Jackson went from a handsome black man to white golum but one thing never changed. The grip hip hop and rap had on my life. My tastes became less New Jack Swing and more Gangsta as I matured and battled teen angst. I raged along with Pac and Biggie bobbed my head along with Tha Chronic and lost myself in Doggystyle. Eminem, Jay Z Kanye West and even 50 cent guided me through the new millennium. Now Im here in 2017 still listening to all those mothafucka's because now I'm old as fuck and have no idea how many A$AP guys there are. Like seriously who the fuck are these guys nowadays? Then on the night of March 24/17 I opened the LGAHL website and stumbled upon the latest offering from my son. The young man formerly known as Bishop AKA El Diablo AKA MonDaze. Seriously dude stick with a name more than 3 months. This is no way to build street cred! I gave the latest offering of 8 tracks Titled Colourful Memories a listen. They passed by my now older somewhat hairier ears and to my surprise it wasn't complete ass wipe. We've all been in parties with Diablo seen him in the chatbox or watched him on various media. Did any of you think he could do any of this? For real he's my son and I thought he was just a degenerate. Turns out the hip hop section of my larger than average testicles produced this nugget of humanity. A run through the track list gave me feelings I was hearing a slightly less talented Mac Miller. Please don't take that as an insult. This is actually pretty good. Like not I'll come to your show or buy an album good. But hey I play internet hockey with that guy good! I really have no idea how long you've been in the game son but truthfully this is pretty aight. NotoriousFAT 00 gives this album a solid 7/10
Lmao that fact that you took the time to actually listen to it and write that I love you so much hahahaha thanks tho for the "critque" I guess u can call it lol, been working on this project since last September so i wasn't going to put "shit" out. I've heard Mac miller and lil dicky comparison (tho I don't really see it since I don't do my rap structure like them) so I guess so haha, thanks dad!
