Headset choice

A few months back someone told me that Astro a40’s are a good headset and would work for both Xbox series S and Ps5.

can someone confirm this to me because on Amazon it seems there are two separate headsets for each console

the moment u switch to earbuds you will not want to go back. For the ps5, apple ear buds with the 3.5mm jack work just fine, if you want something else i recommend the hyper x cloud gaming earbuds, they also plug into the controller with a 3.5MM jack.

 

Xbox Kinect mic is my weapon of choice

Buy these. The sound is unbelievable (reference fidelity) and the mic sounds amazing. It has a 1/8 cable, but it's changeable if it ever breaks.

 

Anything hyperX. I haven’t gone back to anything else since purchasing these.

 

HMM many options, my issue is that my gf watches TV at the same time as i game so my friends complain they hear everything around me. But im assuming an good headset should have mic noise isolation.

FYI im currently using turtle beach stealth 600 1st Generation wireless

Sennheiser GAME ONE

They rebranded to EPOS but this headset is great. I went through like 4 wireless ones before I found this gem. Never have to worry about it being charged.

You can adjust your mic sensitivity too on the PS5 side to help fix other noise too.

 

Steel series is the only correct answer here, super comfortable great quality and have a couple models that work with ps5/Xbox/pc

 

I do a lot of musical production as well and the sound of these is so accurate, they are almost on par with my Sennheiser HD560. Truly amazing sound quality. Non of that marketing simulated 7.1 bs, just high fidelity audio.

 

I've been using the PC37X for 3 years which I believe is the same as this (but you have to buy an adapter to use on console) and I love it.

Very comfortable to wear with glasses after I stretched them out for a few days, and it sounds great + mic is surprisingly good for a headset mic (same mic as the PC38X). Also I really like how it's open back so I can hear myself talk and hear if someone delivered a package at my door.

Chuck mentioned the PC38X which is newer and higher-end, and I've only ever heard great reviews of that as well.

yes the mic works fine for both i have 0 issues, way more comfortable using earbuds then headsets while gaming. Trust
