(1) vs (5) 1st Round Review Pittsburgh Penguins 3 of 4 1-goal games in the 1st round against the Habs. They definitely show that they can clutch up when needed considering they swept the Habs. This team has good depth and and it was evident last series a few of their 3rd line guys going 2-0. Let's hope they can continue that success moving forward. 1st Round MVP: @Beagle l83l Leading Scorer: @Beagle l83l / @AG7859 Biggest Pylon: @Nealerr Buffalo Sabres Do they deserve to be here? No. But due to some controversy in NYI, they got a 1st round BYE. One thing about the Sabres is the managed to put up a lot of goals against a solid defensive team and they came back from some large leads to force OT. They have heart for sure. If they can keep doing that, I feel they can defy the odds and compete against the Penguins well. 1st Round MVP: @Kuchhh Leading Scorer: @PieR Talent / @Portcenter Biggest Pylon: @xPICKARDx54 Line Comparisons 1st - Nuge and Aced's Line (1-0) 3GF 2GA 2nd - AG and Yucky's Line (1-0) 5GF 4GA 3rd - Enzo and Dooglare's Line (2-0) 7GF 2GA Goalies @Nealerr and @IORIO EMPIRE - .783 SV% 2.00 GAA 0 SO X-Factor: @Luh Tonkaaaa 1st - Moran and Sycch's line (0-2) 6GF 8GA 2nd - Pier and Panda's Line (0-1) 5GF 6GA 3rd - Koho's Line (1-1) 6GF 6GA Goalies @lHuskie and @w Dirty (1-4) .704 SV% 4.20GAA 0 SO X-Factor: @Not Greggy 1st Line Advantage - PIT 2nd Line Advantage - BUF 3rd Line Advantage - PIT Goalies - PIT 2nd Round Outlook By getting the extra day on WED, I feel Sabres can schedule their PSN guys more wisely for this series. Although the Pens have an amazing roster, the Sabres have a chance to upset the Man-Bun and his Penguins. I wanna say it goes to 7. in 7 ----- (2) vs (3) 1st Round Review Toronto Maple Leafs The Leafs prevailed against a tough matchup against the Devils and it was simply because of the strong depth on this team. They had the flexibility to move some 3rd line guys with their 2nd lines guys and it worked out. I expect them to have a similar strategy in their series against the Flyers. 1st Round MVP: @Doranz- Leading Scorer: @Barzy x 13 Biggest Pylon: @Dangs92 Philadelphia Flyers The Flyers nearly choked to the Bolts last series with their top 2 lines losing a couple games and going to Game 7. However, they clutched when needed to as they were down 3-1 going into the 3rd then prevailing in OT. What a thrilling way to advance and spark the team going into the 2nd round. Let's hope that rush can continue against a much tougher Leafs team. 1st Round MVP: @Leveskii Leading Scorer: @Leveskii Biggest Pylon: @WeddingJUN Line Comparisons 1st - Rippin and Kroneez's Line (2-0) 7GF 5GA 2nd - Dangs and Poland's Line (1-1) 8GF 4GA 3rd - Skonzxy and Crowe's Line (1-1) 5GF 5GA Goalies @Th3 l AnD 0n1y and @TealCypress3011 (4-2) .726 SV% 2.17GAA 1 SO X-Factor: @Barzy x 13 1st - Leveski and Briere's Line (1-1) 7GF 5GA 2nd - Auggy and TJ's Line (1-1) 4GF 5GA 3rd - Fox and Clamont's Line (1-1) 5GF 5GA Goalies @zBernatchez and @Askarov x 30 (4-3) .710 SV% 2.57GAA 0SO X-Factor: @Auggy98 1st Line Advantage: TOR 2nd Line Advantage: TOR 3rd Line Advantage: EVEN Goalies: EVEN 2nd Round Outlook Both teams have sick depth on their respective rosters with mediocre goaltending. However, I feel I will give the edge to the Leafs because they have better players to balance out their 1st and 2nd lines in my opinion. in 6 ----- Thank you for reading, sorry for the delay!
some might say what happened to the isles was karma. chicago got an undeserved cup and the next season get caught for 2nd tagging. But at least this time the 2nd tagger actually won their game so it played a part in the outcome of the series.
