Week 1 Power Rankings

1. Hell, I’ll jump up and do my first LG write up. Was a fun first week here in the world juniors. For some I’m sure it wasn’t. Didn’t put too much time into this, but I figured I’d throw it out there. I’ll do straight power rankings, and then I’ll do a small write up for each team. Let me know what you guys think. If you have any opinions feel free to express.
   
   Power Ranking:
   
   1 USA 9-0-0
   
   Not going to say much because it’s my team. Only undefeated, most goals scored, most TOA, and least goals against. Just going to leave it at that.
   
   2 Poland 7-2-0
   
   Honestly love this team. They’re scoring goals and playing great defense. There’s not much more to ask for in a team. Marco and Potato did a great job on the draft. Their top guys are crushing it.
   
   3) Jamaica 5-3-1
   
   This is definitely my favorite roster this season in WJC by far. If management figure out the Chem, who works well with who, they’re going to be great. I have high expectations for this team. Especially guys like, Danks Hammer Daggz, Pittman, Thurky, Visions, and Matthews.
   
   4) Ukraine 7-2-0
   
   Watched a couple of the games that these guys played, and it definitely was fun to watch. These guys have the third best PK percentage at 76% but I’d like to see a little higher PP%. They’re currently at 26%
   
   
   5) Japan 5-4-0
   
   When I saw this roster at the end of the draft I for sure was impressed. Probably my 2nd favorite roster behind Jamaica. I expect more out of their dmen. They have the most goals allowed after the first week. Jonsey and Tom definitely are a lot better than what they have shown at the end of the first week.
   
   6) Great Britain 5-4-0
   
   Another team that I expected to be a little bit more out of. FIFA, Lackofskill, and Tavares are a phenomenal forward lineup. Definitely going to see a lot of points on that forward line.
   
   7) Canada 4-3-2
   
   This is one of the last teams I’m honestly interested in. They have some fire power with, Playmaker, Bardsii, Hebs, and patelite, but that’s about it. They’ll hover around the .500 range. Hope for the best for these guys.
   
   8) Switzerland 3-3-3
   
   Interesting team honestly. They’re 3-3-3 with exactly same goals for and against. If they won the OT games they would be in pretty good shape. I think they have an issue with goaltending. One of the guys needs to step up and be the one to make saves in close games because they don’t have much fire power offensively.
   
   
   9) Norway 3-5-1
   
   Definitely my favorite management core here. I trust the guys over there. They know what they’re doing, and I believe they can turn around a mediocre 1st week. Maybe some line change ups. They have some weapons at fwd being Showtime, CJ, and Slummy. Plus your management Heinz and Guru. They have the second most TOA behind USA. Let’s get it together guys.
   
   
   10) Germany 3-4-2
   
   Not much to say about them. They’ll stay around this position probably all season. Great goalie with Emery. Emery, Nakis and HABSY are pretty much their only hope. Which is just not enough to get it done.
   
   
   11) Sweden 1-5-3
   
   Another team that just could not get it done in OTs. They do have the worst record after the first week, but I don’t think that tells the whole story with this team. They are currently tied in 3rd for fewest goals allowed. Teams like Japan and Jamaica have more allowed than them. If only they could find a way to score. 11th in goals for.
   
   12) Netherlands
   
   I definitely think they can score goals on you, but personally think they have the worst d core after this draft. It’s going to really hurt them reminder of the season.
