A lot that follows is actually pretty tight but I'd like to add that @xTarasenko91 leads with +/- 10. On another note I'm extremely impressed with how many and how tall the goalies look to have stood this week. As cheap as most of them are they sure played like steals. Lyme Time Game Recap NJ @ NW for the WCHL debut. Puck drops and immediately NJ takes control of the game, drawing a penalty in the first shift. They control the puck and two high slot one timers on net but @Shalac l4l looks sharp early as he turns them aside. NW trying to enter the zone but having an extremely hard time, strong defense by both teams despite NJ having better possession. NW breaks out as @Ciroc stutter steps into the zone and rips one just over the blue line for the Giants first shot and he scores to open the season! After a couple minutes of the two teams clashing NW gets a penalty shot! @ReliableMoose attempts the diving poke check but @Eamonn quickly divots around em and buries. 2-0 end of the first. Intense hockey as nothing there's nothing easy getting by. With NJ possessing the puck in the O-zone they look for the high slot one timer from @Cy Young7 but its stopped by the defense except it trickles ever so slowly into the net! 2-1 the score. NW looking like they've settled in a bit pushing a nice forecheck and drawing two penalties for a lengthy 5 on 3. NW creates a decent chance or to where @ReliableMoose had to make a positionally sound save but they remain tight on D and kill the penalties off. Both teams playing extremely well lot's of talent on the ice, any small mistake can prove to be lethal. Both goalies giving their teams a chance as the second period comes to an end. NW opens up the period with a great on timer opportunity but doesn't shoot on the open short side and Moose makes the save. NW draws another penalty, this time capitalizing on the ONE TEE from TDS for a score of 3-1. NW seems to get better and better as the game goes on slightly taking it over but not taking NJ out of the game yet. NJ has a chance on a give and go to cut the lead in half but hit the post! NW picks up the puck creates their own one timer down the ice and @Roseart2 SCOOOOORES! Finishing the game at a score of 4-1.
