With there having been some recent discussions on major changes to the structure of the league, mostly surrounding how contracts are constructed, I wanted to see what the majority of the player base thinks. (Vote was originally done with managers on both consoles)
Managers chat leaking? Anyways is there any explanation of the reason these should be changed or are we looking to randomly change stuff for the hell of it? Like what is the thought process behind moving from 500k to 750k? Why not make it 1 million?
the real change to do in LGHL is to give salary to OWNER and GM, that the best way to have more parity inside that league.
No. How do you decide their salary? There is no good way to judge what the worth of a manager is. Hence why the free contract. VG tries to do that and it's awful and always was. Stats don't show everything, team success doesn't show everything. This is not and will never be the right way.
I can’t believe in all my years on NHL I’m actually suggesting this, but if you want more parity, think about taking away the free GM. Make GM a spot you need to acquire in bidding, and make teams not just about acquiring as much talent as possible, but make bringing in people who want to be a part of a team and help run it, be a viable reason to bid on them. it also forces owners to take more responsibility, takes away the “I’m a free contract so if you suck it’s not on me” GMs, it makes building a good team that much more difficult in my opinion. In my defense, I don’t like the idea of what I just said, but I’m saying this because it’s a realistic idea I think to help LG PSN
This only helps about 3 bad owners every season. But this hurts tremendously the 7-8 average ones that are actually on good terms with a good player. What we need to figure out is how to get more good owners. I don't think that solution helps out with that.
Your whole idea there @Primetimme seems to be to level the playing field, when really all it does is make it even harder for the middle of the pack to compete. It won't hurt the Top Player Owners. It only helps the bad ones cause they don't save a ton of money on that free contract anyways. But 90% of Owners do. Also think about a new owner having to go through bidding by himself. Having a 9-5 like most normal human beings with 0 help. That's 72 hours of absolute hell for that guy. I just don't see this being a good thing. As a guy that loves the management side but haven't been enjoying the game as much, I think the ability to have an extra free contract that's not allowed to play could be an idea to look into. Probably will never happen, but I'm sure there's other who love to manage but know they lack the thumb skills to be worth it that would look into it. I'm not asking for that to happen. Just think it could be an option.
