Vote will count towards a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place vote based on the final count from award committee. OEE (Own End Efficiency) - How much time in takes in TOA for other team to score a goal on you. The higher the time, the better. Pavel Datsyuk Award Awarded to the forward who best excels in the defensive aspects of the game Criteria: Considering the nature of our league, it will almost always be the case that players deserving of nomination for the Datsyuk will also produce at an above average level offensively. However, offensive production specifically should not be a factor in determining who is more deserving of the award. Also note that increasingly, although not exclusively, the Datsyuk is awarded to players in the AHL that play the position of center. Playing wing should hinder, but not preclude, a player from winning or being nominated for the Datsyuk. 1) Stats to consider when evaluating players to nominate for the Datsyuk are the following: Record, +/-, PIM, FO%, GAA, and PPKE. Note that players should not receive a massive bonus due to a high +/- simply due to outlandish offensive production. GAA is a much more reliable indicator of defensive superiority than +/- is. 2) Linemates. This is mainly to note that a player should not be significantly punished during consideration simply for playing with a talented line. However, players should not significantly benefit during consideration simply for playing on a below average team or with below average linemates. 3) Strength of schedule. In a league where managers (and players, to a certain extent), are able to choose who they play against, it is important to consider strength of opposition when determining individual awards. The main things to examine here are record vs playoff teams as compared to record vs non-playoff teams, as well as GAA vs playoff teams as compared to vs non-playoff teams. Specifically, a player who plays a majority of his games against stronger teams and has a quality record in these games should be rewarded over players who mainly play against weaker teams. As far as GAA is concerned, it is expected that players will allow less goals against weaker teams. Players should only be downgraded in this area if they allow a significant and disproportionate amount of goals in games against playoff teams. In especially tight cases between players, also consider evaluating the individual lineups that players face throughout the season. Subjectively quantify teams' 1st/2nd/3rd lines, and examine how many of each the players have played against throughout the season, in combination with playoff/non playoff. ________________________________________________________________________________ @Josh55777 | 22-4-2 | 72 Pts - 24G, 48A, +32 Playoff Teams Record: 7-4-0 Fringe Teams Record: 3-0-1 Non-Playoff Teams Record: 11-0-1 Defensive Stats: Faceoff Percentage: 55.5% Hits: 46 Takeaways: 87 Giveaways: 284 OEE: 2:17 Personal Penalty Kill %: 89.1% Goals Against / Game: 1.79 Interceptions: 148 @Dabaws l24l | 18-5-1 | 79 Pts - 33G, 46A, +39 Playoff Teams Record: 8-3-1 Fringe Teams Record: 4-1-0 Non-Playoff Teams Record: 6-0-0 Defensive Stats: Faceoff Percentage: 54.6% Hits: 46 Takeaways: 89 Giveaways: 127 OEE: 1:55 Personal Penalty Kill %: 87.5 Goals Against / Game: 2.85 Interceptions: 156 @TimatinQc | 18-6-4 | 64 Pts - 33G, 31A, +32 Playoff Teams Record: 9-5-1 Fringe Teams Record: 4-0-0 Non-Playoff Teams Record: 5-1-3 Defensive Stats: Faceoff Percentage: 54.4% Hits: 52 Takeaways: 80 Giveaways: 126 OEE: 2:16 Personal Penalty Kill %: 72.0 Goals Against / Game: 2.42 Interceptions: 143 @Go Bar South23 | 16-6-5 | 58 Pts - 22G, 36A, +14 Playoff Teams Record: 8-4-4 Fringe Teams Record: 3-0-0 Non-Playoff Teams Record: 5-2-1 Defensive Stats: Faceoff Percentage: 47% Hits: 224 Takeaways: 99 Giveaways: 190 OEE: 2:17 Personal Penalty Kill %: 65.2 Goals Against / Game: 3.18 Interceptions: 150 @PoISoN x BRUIN | 16-8-4 | 85 Pts - 26G, 59A, +14 Playoff Teams Record: 6-6-2 Fringe Teams Record: 1-0-0 Non-Playoff Teams Record: 9-2-2 Defensive Stats: Faceoff Percentage: 51.1% Hits: 112 Takeaways: 74 Giveaways: 168 OEE: 2:02 Personal Penalty Kill %: 67.4 Goals Against / Game: 3.25 Inteceptions: 122
Rockford needs to get in here and vote for their boy.. based off of those stats he should run away with it.
Nothing at all against Bar South or Bruin, but Idk how anyone could vote for either with those defensive numbers. Bar South being just behind Josh is pretty wild. It should really be a coin flip between Dabaws and Josh for this award, but I'm biased so I'd give it to Dabaws.
47% on the draw with 47-50 ping btw. Lost every single 50/50 all season and still won almost half my draws. Also had the toughest strength of schedule. Sick stats against non playoff teams boys! Played 16 games against playoff teams here!
