I am looking to start a new League on LG. LG NASCAR will run on NASCAR HEAT 4 and move this summer into NASCAR HEAT 5. Rules TBD I am just seeing what the interest level may be.
I debated buying the games for a while just to wreck people and get them pissed off. Nascar fans really hate getting intentionally wrecked
If I had to put an honest opinion out as someone that does a lot of sim racing as a owner in multiple sim leagues, nascar Heat is not the way to go, if you want it to be most realistic and actually fun and be able to people people along you’d have to do iracing, I currently use both and iRacing is the much more dominant sim to run on out of the two and you can attract a much larger crowd to the races... they even have pre made setups for the tracks as well as some historic tracks like rockingham and North Wilkesboro, plus if you do it through iRacing you are able to get much more exposure for the league by running recruiting races as well as posting on their forums for people to be able to find out about the league and run in it. Any questions feel free to ask currently driving with two sponsors from real life on the simulator as well which is why I run my custom paint
F1 2019 and 2020 coming up in June/July I believe could be nice too, only need 20 guys and you can keep track of everything with the Create a League option in the game.
iRacing is by far the best nascar sim as far as realism but thats also PC and expensive. Also if you are doing that you def dont need lg to find leagues to race in. Just seems like too niche of a thing to get an lg league going for. Especially if you factor in the massive skill gap potential. Also the fact that since its not real people drive like assholes and ruin the races for people who actually try. iRacing is probably the only game i know of that you can get banned for intentionally ruining the game for others. Shit even LoL doesnt ban people for inting but i digress.
I second the recommendation for F1. iRacing would be too intensive of a sim for this community, F1 is a proper compromise. NASCAR is fun, but it’s hard to take it seriously as a sim racer. Some of us like to turn right turn too.
