As many of you that might not know, I was the General Manager of the Vancouver Canucks. Yes... The Vancouver Canucks.

The Challenge

This past offseason was an eventful one for myself and many others considering management. The thrill of being able to build your own team from the ground up had caught my attention from the moment I joined this league. As the season ended, I kept my options open to where I could possibly end up next season. The owner of Vancouver previously talked to me about a open GM position; initially I had no interest at all. Vancouver is known as one of the leagues biggest laughing stocks in the past few seasons why would i torment myself to career suicide?.. As the days inched closer to NHL bidding, I finally decided. With pulling my application from the last remaining few qualified for NHL ownership, I decided that I was going to take on the challenge head first and make Vancouver a house hold name once again in this league...But I knew it wasn't going to be easy.


The Difference Between You and I

Going to Vancouver I knew that it was possibly one of the least appealing teams for any free agents to come to. I had my work cut out for me. But what differentiates myself from my fellow peers, is that no-one would ever think about declining full ownership of a team to come to a shit hole that was once Vancouver. I installed a plan from day 1 of what I wanted on this team and stuck to it ever since. With the help of a couple of my good buddies, Dan and James, we made this team some what attractable again. What happened between me and the owner of this team is pointless to talk about. I have no respect or desire to even get into detail of what happened between the both of us. But lets say I would never run a team like how he wanted.

The Ban

This league is a dictatorship. After coming home from work today, I was greeted with a alert saying how I have been banned for the accusation of second tagging. Without any idea at all of what was going on, I messaged the admins and then was further explained of what happened. Im not here trying to plead my case, I'm simply here for the reason of how they handled it. My career is over. The little amount of reputation that I had left was simply gone in a blink of a eye. Moving forward, there is nothing I have left to do but to accept what has happened for simply the reason that there is no taking back the reactions and accusations that have been made about myself from the community.


Final Words

The moral of the story from this thread is that I want players safety and awareness to not be looked past anymore by the league admins. My experience that I had encountered today, which isn't the first issue I had with the league, is something I don't want anyone to encounter ever again. I am disgusted with the vast amounts of time I put into this hobby of mine, only to be wasted in all of a blink of a eye. Going forward I would like to see the league implement heavily vetted reviews on such issues as this, before jumping to conclusions and ruining ones career. Its just not fair.

HTH should not be banned, this shows how biased this league and its commissioners are. Alex has done nothing wrong and is being singled out because of the unfair rep he has been given by other members of the league. He has done a great job as GM so far this season and has finally made Vancouver respectable again and without him they would be at the bottom of the league. I hope the league looks this situation over and see what they have done is unjust. #FreeHTH

HTH certainly shouldn't be banned. He simply made Vancouver a better team. If HTH's ban holds up, the quality of this league is going to drop. I stand with HTH on this. #FreeHTH
