Do what barstool does with their hockey jerseys and put the LG logo on the front and give a couple color options like red/black white/red and maybe an option for name/#, I think barstool sells their Jersey for $60ish usd. I'd 100% drunk purchase that. You should think about hats or socks too, more people would probably be more interested in that
What's the incentive for me to pay to advertise LG? You guys already take like 20% of the Pro Series prize pool, and as far as I know LG said the winning PS team would get watches and they still don't have them. So why would someone support the site when we have these issues, as well as Chatbox Nazi's that time people out for the dumbest things so that said people have to pay to use the full site again. I guess a few people will buy one, but this will go as far as a plane without wings. Is LG trying to move towards the clothing industry or are they just trying to make some money? Either way I don't think there was much thought put into this. Seems more like someone walked into Pacific Mall, saw some dude making T-Shirts, and decided it was a good idea.
I was always informed that the 20% was for PayPal fees of money coming and going. The site doesn't use Pro Series as a way to make money. People wanted to play six's for money, PayPal was the agree upon form for money transfers and it can be costly. If you don't like the reasoning or the break down for those events talk to Tris. He'll gladly show you the break downs and fees he has to pay. The watches are still happening. We were offered an sponsorship that we took. The issue seemed to be on the end of the company who offered the pricing snow LG. Now it's come to a point where the watches will be shipped gimme directly where I'll likely end up paying for them to be sent out myself out of my own pocket. The goal of having our own branding is to help grow the site and league but also use this money to help fund the final ESHL events. Buy ins for those events can only generate so much. No one is forcing you to buy anything or anyone anything. People one to LG for different reasons and have a different level of interest and dedication. As if right now the polls are showing 355 votes which could translate into that nang shirts. That is a small percentage of the leagues but still more than enough reason to see this through. There was a ton more thought out into offering some sort of shirt or hat to those members on LG who want it, then using the profit to help fund ESHL events. More thought went into the idea than I think you put into your post calling out issues you have that aren't relevant or are being addressed currently as best as we can
I would advise against this @LG McDonald You have no idea what your size curve is so you're going to be left with a LOT of unpurchased inventory that you cannot sell because no one wants/needs the sizes you will have left. Re-ordering for sizes is costly and you almost always face an upcharge. Immediately your margin suffers and the cost of production is no longer worth the endeavor. You need very specific info and a commitment up front from the people who will purchase this in order for you to just break even. Don't want to rain on the parade, but this is what I do for a living and I'm just trying to save you guys a lot of headaches in the near future.
Btw when is this LG STORE acually going to happen? I would definitely order some stuff cant wait hopefully we know soon
@Tris10 If this is still in the works, it would be pretty easy to get a print-on-demand store up and connected to the site.
