The majority of the yes votes will be players (some of which are stuck with shitters). The majority of the no votes will be mamagement. The league can't run without competent management. Whatever maintains and intices quality managers to sign up is the option to choose. All that would happen is one big bidding season and then all the good players on cheap contracts get multiple years. Then the next several seasons would be AIDS in bidding.
Fuck roster reset get an expansion draft rolling only reason people vote yes is because theyre getting smoked by Peg SJ Philly and PIT get better management that wont trade for their friends and realize the team sucks and leave cough new york and buffalo cough. Buf was nasty 3 season back WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED
It would help with parity in the league and the good management teams would have good teams again. I see both sides of the coin though It would also potentially entice some better management who isn't already management on one of the top 4.
Hey look we agreed on something champ keep it going we were meant for each other like those dragon shits in avatar hating each other = perfect match ill let you ride me any day big bpy
Informative whats up with that shit unless thats your way of saying affirmative if thats the case im all for it
Yeah. Most owners would quit. Especially the ones who have worked their butts off to find good contracts and draft players.
Need reset for every new game, just makes it more competitive IMO. Good management will still have the better teams so it's not that big a deal.
By competitive you mean a couple great teams are formed every fall and are pretty set until the next year (3 seasons later). Just eliminate the ability to trade resigns and don't allow DPs to be resigned and you are set. Teams can't hold 6+ players in a season and the bidding pool would maintain a decent size.
A reset on it's own doesn't really solve the problem. Remove the trading of re-signs, and I think reducing re-signs to 1 (give an additional contract year) is in the league's best interest as well. Also stop letting people who aren't confirmed for next season pillage their current team of all draft picks and players, especially when they just end up as management somewhere else the following season.
This gets debated every time there has been a reset and most of the good ones return anyway. This league is suffering right now because overall management in the league is not good. I'm doubtful that a roster reset would even solve that issue, but I imagine there's some that would come out of the woodwork if they didn't have to try and rebuild a disaster of a team. We were discussing this in the CB earlier, but LG needs to do more to incentivize better management since the game sucks.
Maybe I'm looking at this the wrong way, but I personally think there should be a roster reset after every new NHL is released. Evens out the playing field. I don't understand how people think bidding would be bad. Bidding is already a mess, a reset can only improve it
We can't just roster reset every time it gets hard. Need to fix the problems on the inside or we just keep ending up in the same place everytime.
I think everyone agrees it would help but it would only help for one season. After that it's back to the gig.
