    Western North Divison

    1- [IMG] Rochester Americans (43-16-4) 90 Pts
Rochester is currently leading the west and have gone 8-1-1 in their last 10 games. They missed out on a perfect week in a tight offensive game against their division rival The Lake Erie Monsters. Offense is the key in Rochester they scored an average of 5 goals per game last week while only giving up 21. The Americans have found a good goaltending duo that looks comfortable with their defense. SouPerSaiyan , BakTheGreat1 and recently acquired player mIst3r master have been putting up great numbers for the last couple of weeks.

    Offense : A+ Defense : A Goaltending : A

Key Players : SouPerSaiyan , MIst3r master and Haunted Avocado.

Week 8 will be a hard and important one for Rochester. Here are the games to watch out for next week :

    2-[IMG] Lake Erie Monsters (41-19-3) 85 Pts
The most physical team in the AHL, they have surprised a lot of people this far, not many predicted them to making a run for 1st place in the West. Lake Erie has not had a bad week this season always going over 500% , being consistent and working has a team is the key to their succes. No superstars appear on their roster only name that really stands out is Big Rig l83l , besides him the Monsters are a hardworking team that needs all 6 players on the ice to win. Special team is also not ignored even though they like to get physical they still have the best penalty kill in the AHL killing off 81.2%.

    Offense : A Defense : A Goaltending : A+

Key Players : Pete Magnum791 , Ashes and Faith and Big Rig l83l.

Week 8 Lake Erie are playing a team they have had success against in the season. Games to look out for are :

    3- [IMG] Utica Comets (34-25-4) 72 Pts
Winning the Division is maybe out of the picture now for Utica , but they have made a splash in the conference going from 11th place to 6th in the last 2 weeks. Being 8-2-0 in there last 10 games , Utica have changed things around and are now a threat to any team in the West. Utica now has 2 solid netminders who can win them some games when the Offense does not show up. In the past week they only had 2 games where they gave up more then 2 goals, when the defense and goalie plays this well only good things can happen. All they need is their offense to be consistent and Utica will be a team to watch out for in the post season.

    Offense : B+ Defense : A Goaltending : A

Key Players : MadeOfTwoFaces , Dcshoe and LIVE Jordan.

Week 8 for Utica could be a defining week in their attempt to finish in the top 6 or better in the conference. Here are some games to watch out for :

    4- [IMG] Toronto Marlies (27-32-4) 58 Pts
The Marlies have slowly gotten better each week this season and have finally managed to go over .500 for the first time in the last 2 weeks. However if they want to make a push with 19 games left and 12 points out of a playoff spot they have to go all out and do better in these last 2 weeks. Having the best scorer in the league on their team can only help them so much. If the Superstars bring their A game then Toronto has a shot to upset in the Western Conference.

    Offense : B+ Defense : B Goaltending : B

Key Players : Datsyuk l13l , Reggie Hauser and ol TINY lo.

Week 8 Toronto has to go at least 6-2-1 if they hope to stay in the playoff hunt. Here are games to watch out for :

    5-[IMG] Hamilton Bulldogs (17-39-7) 41 Pts
With 19 games to play the Bulldogs are 29 points out of a playoff spot and dead last in the West. It is nearly impossible for Hamilton to make the post season this doesn't mean they have to go out without putting up a war. The important thing for them is to keep their players motivated, Hamilton will not be an easy opponent because they have nothing to lose and their only goal now is to spoil other teams chances to make the post season.

    Offense : C+ Defense : C Goaltending : B

    Key Players : Koda990

Week 8 Hamilton will be looking to take 2 points away from teams who need them. Here are the game to look out for :

    Western Midwest Division

    1.
    :t362: Iowa Wild 36-22-5 77 PTS Week 7: 5-3-1

Iowa is led by a great management duo in tats and tranny, these guys really know how to build strong teams. Iowa has one of the more balanced three forward lines in the AHL. The offense is led by @MainEvent x10 and @BMCDONALD19 with 53 points each, but all of their lines are contributing right now to their success. @Agent Murphy 2 is proving to be a key acquisition via trade, helping solidify their offense. Their defense is pretty average, however, and that is the only downfall for this team. On defense, standout @Tiddus has 25 points and a +16. Iowa doesn’t give up a lot of goals, but they are definitely being helped by their stellar goaltending. @iTransitions has an overall record of 21-9-3, and is a whopping 17-0-1 in his last 4 weeks. If Tranny keeps playing like that, Iowa should win this division with ease.

    Offense: A
    Defense: B
    Goaltending: A-
Players To Watch: MainEvent x 10, BMCDONALD19, iTransitions
Key week 8 games: vs Chicago, @ Milwaukee, @ Portland, @ Providence

    2. :t395: Chicago Wolves 33-26-4 70 PTS Week 7: 3-5-1

Chicago is the 2nd best team in this division, despite losing a lot of ground in the division race. For a long time, Chicago was even above Iowa in the standings, however they have struggled in recent weeks with some subpar performances. On offense, they are led by @GooDWarQC with 64 points, @lSneaky x84l with 57 points, and @Tyrant x 32 with 53 points. Chicago is pretty balanced up front, however the defense needs to be more consistent. Scoring goals is definitely not a problem in Chicago, having 230 to their credit this season thus far. Their problem is their defense as they have also given up 230 goals. @Kidney Bean69 has 19 points and a +10 this season, as well as the controversial @aucun respect with 19 points and a -6 appear to be the anchors of the defense in Chicago. The Chicago wolves are sitting in 7th place right now in the West, and that is about where they will end up most likely.

    Offense: A-
    Defense: B-
    Goaltending: B
Players To Watch: GooDWarQC, lSneaky x84l, Kidney Bean69
Key week 8 games: @ Iowa, vs Milwaukee, @ Providence

    3.
    :t390: Milwaukee Admirals 32-27-4 68 PTS Week 7: 4-4-1

Milwaukee, after a hot start to the season, has come back to earth in recent weeks. Sitting in 8th place in the West right now, they will need to pick up their play a bit or risk losing their playoff position. On offense, they are led by @Shtz2ez with 63 points and @ele905 with 52 points. This team, just like Chicago, scores a lot of goals but also gives up a lot. In order to be successful for the last 2 weeks, they need to be more consistent on defense and in net to be able to stay in the playoff race. On defense, they are anchored by @zl InFiniTy lz ,with 26 points and a +9, as well as @Hatrick Swayze9 , with 25 points and a -6. Milwaukee will need to play more consistently to have a chance at the playoffs, they need to have a few better weeks or they may see themselves on the outside looking in.

    Offense: B+
    Defense: B-
    Goaltending: C+
Players To Watch: Shtz2ez, ele905, zl InFiniTy lz
Key week 8 games: vs Chicago, vs Iowa, vs Rockford

    4.
    :t349: Rockford IceHogs 27-34-2 56 PTS Week 7: 4-5

Rockford has a pretty solid team, however they are victims of a management switch midseason as well as trades with inactive players. Before all that happened, Rockford was in the thick of the playoff race in the West, but they may not be able to recover in time. @D E A T H l12l is doing a good job keeping the team together, and they will need to have a good 2 final weeks to make a push for a playoff spot. On offense, they are led by @New York YKR with 47 points, @HoNoIzGrenierQC with 45 points and late season addition @Das Maischips with 24 points. Defensively, they are led by @xxenu with 15 points and a -4, as well as a late compensation addition in @lDl Kopecky 82. Rockford has an outside chance at making the playoffs right now, but they will need to have a very good week 8.

    Offense: B
    Defense: B
    Goaltending: C+
Players To Watch: New York YKR, HoNoIzGrenierQC, Das Maischips
Key week 8 games: vs Milwaukee, vs Chicago, vs Grand Rapids

    5.
    :t299: Grand Rapids Griffins 26-33-4 56 PTS Week 7: 2-6-1

Grand Rapids is another victim of a midseason management switch. Early in the season, they were in the middle of the pack fighting for a playoff spot, but since then have dropped off the map. The offense is led by @Viktomize with 47 points, @SoulGlowAct1v8r with 46 points, and @l The Legacy l with 33 points. Grand Rapids will need to play their matchups right to have a shot at playoffs in the West. The defense is led by @J3WBS with 15 PTS and a +10, but they need more players to step up after that. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been a consistent goalie between the pipes since the GM left and that appears to be the downfall for this team.

    Offense: B-
    Defense: C+
    Goaltending: C+
Players To Watch: Viktomize, SoulGlowAct1v8r, l The Legacy l
Key week 8 games: @ Milwaukee, vs Iowa, vs Rockford

    Western West Division

    [IMG] 1. Abbotsford Heat (39-18-6) (7-0-2)

The Heat are seen as one of the league’s most defensive teams as they are ranked top 5 with 155 GA on the season. With an impressive list of D that include, Kbsmith37, Sloshy Boxers, and MBell91, it’s not a huge surprise this team doesn’t give up many goals. Behind them the tandem of Elegant Mullet and QUICK l32l make it even harder to put up goals. Elegant Mullet finished the week with an 87.3 save percentage, a 1.30 GAA and a 5-0-1 record while QUICK l32l put in 2-0-1 record with a 73.1 save percentage and a 2.30 GAA.
Not only can this team keep the pucks out of their own net, they find ways to put pucks in the back of yours. KP1114 and VehnoM look to be the standout forwards on the team as they put up 14 and 12 points respectively. While the majority of these looked as if they were in a nub hunt against Texas, they seem to maintain the role of consistent forwards throughout the season. Look for Abbotsford to run away with the division in the following weeks.

Key Players: Sloshy Boxers, KP1114, Elegant Mullet

    [IMG] 2. San Antonio Rampage (34-23-5) (7-2-0)

A big week from the Rampage keeps their hopes for the division race with Abbotsford alive. This is a team that isn't afraid to put the puck in the net. The forward line of kinklater 10, EliteHydroponix, and Money Marty19 have no issues leading this team as they put up a combined 46 points in a 3-0 week.

Goaltender snackz23 had a mediocre 3-2-0 week with an 80.4 save percentage and a 2.2 GAA while backup l ROY l x 23 played great in relief while putting up a perfect 4-0 record with an 87.3 save percentage and a 1.8 GAA. If Spooer69 can lead his d-core in the final two weeks it could be an interesting race for the division. The addition of CaM3xiJew really adds depth to a D that can keep most teams throughout the league in check.

Key Players: kinklater 10, Spooer69, EliteHydroponix

    [IMG] 3. Oklahoma City Barons (30-26-6) (7-1-1)

A 7-1-1 week from OKC sees them move within 3 points of the 8[SUP]th[/SUP] and final playoff spot. The addition of DOMS313 boosts an already scary D which also consists of MakeYourLuck and BoogerSnap. DOMS313 proved his worth while putting up a perfect 3-0 week and only giving up 3 total goals. This makes life a little easier on goalies Goofyj91 and Billy Smith x31 as they seem to have had some trouble keeping the puck out this season. Goofyj91 put up a 5-0-1 record with a 73.1 save percentage and a 2.7 GAA while backup Billy Smith x31 finished at 2-1-0 on the week with a 76.7 save percentage and a 2.3 GAA.

Honestly, with the loss of oompsahearn I didn’t have much faith in this offense but players such as TurnDown4Butts, SweatTheTechniq and Jesus st1ck have really stepped it up. TurnDown4Butts put up 10 points in Week 7 while SweatTheTechniq and Jesus st1ck put up 6 and 8 respectively. If other members of the offense can step up their game, look for OKC to claim the 8[SUP]th[/SUP] seed in the west.

    Key Players: TurnDown4Butts, DOMS313, Jesus st1ck

    [IMG] 4. Texas Stars (23-36-4) (3-5-1)

A season filled with collusion has finally caught up with Texas who was considered a powerhouse at the beginning of the season. The bans Justified l25l, Lalonde x 91, I iR GHOST I, and the call-up of Dr Dee to the NHL has really crippled this team and turned it into one of the jokes of the league. The one positive may be that thankyoujaco has stayed around to help ensure opponents don’t put too many pucks in the net. Monopolized managed a 2-1-0 record on the week with a 69.2 save percentage and a 4.0 GAA and carneyeVORE salvaged a 1-2-1 week with a 75.7 save percentage and a 4.1 GAA. Better luck next season Texas.

Key Players: thankyoujaco, carneyeVORE, Fromm x 45

    [IMG] 5. Charlotte Checkers (28-30-5) (0-8-1)

From one collusion filled team to another. Not even Xx Seguin 91 xX could save this team from failure. After boasting about one good week on twitter the Checkers have finally been silenced and put in their place with an abysmal 0-8-1 record on the week. With Xx Seguin 91 xX getting banned and TheAngry Mormon only playing one game, Charlotte’s offence really dried up. Not that it really mattered as they got shelled in the majority of their games and didn’t really give the offence a chance to get going.

A bright spot could be the addition of l Bon Bon l who is easily the best goalie on this team even if he is injured. Goaltending definitely needs to be improved as Berrakov went a dreadful 0-5-1 with a 69.5 save percentage and a 5.3 GAA. Backup Iamrevolutionz didn’t fare much better but did put up an impressive 81.1 save percentage in a week that saw him finish with a 5.0 GAA and an 0.2 record. Even with the addition of l Bon Bon l, I can only see this team drop further and further to the bottom of the league.

Key Players: l Bon Bon l, TheAngry Mormom, lxl MLGesus lxl

    Western Rant by MadeOfTwoFaces

For this week’s rant there are a number of things I could talk about. I could talk about the idiot pretending to be Brodie because he’s rattled, and probably between the ages of 14-17. I could talk about the attack on Crass, but instead let’s focus on the second tags and the idiots who use them, I feel we haven’t beat that horse dead. More detailed, let’s focus on the Western “Second Tag Central” West and our so beloved Charlotte Checkers and Texas Stars.

Texas was a powerhouse last season, with much of the same line up, and was topping the standings again this season until after a season and a half everyone decided to say oh, by the way, they have a second tag that most of their players have access to. Now, Texas plummeted to the bottom, which blows for anyone not involved with the bullshit Ghost and crew concocted. Then we have Charlotte. Let’s be honest, the Checkers were trash when they started out this season, and really didn’t get their shit together until after MLGesus was banned and they got a nice, unknown player who only played NHL and just created his account by the name of Seguin. Seguin won 5 games for the Checkers, and got them on a winning track (god damn we weren’t ready for them man.) Unfortunately it would appear that the Deputy Sheriff to MLGesus had acquired MLGesus on a second tag, SHOCKERRR. Long story short, Seguin, or MLGesus is banned, again, a handful of Charlotte players are actually refusing to play for Drisco because of this second tag business, and Charlotte went 0-8-1 this week. I mean, come on that’s worse than Hamilton. The Checkers have one thing right; we weren’t ready for them to become as competitive as a team of random OTP kids in a matter of a day.

Do you guys not realize this is an online thing and we’re not going to get anything out of this but to have fun for a couple hours a week? What is the point in cheating here? I mean, there isn’t even one of those pretty trophy cases under your names (hint hint @Tris10) to show off your trophies you cheated for, and eventually, you will get banned for this shit. It’s a virtual hockey league, and on top of that it’s the SUMMER SEASON the season that means the LEAST of every season we play each year. Cheating is one thing, but cheating in the season that means so little is just ~*~*.

Anyways, that this weeks rant. It was real original, I know. Kinda rushed through it. If you have a topic you want me to rant about, send the idea my way and I'll see what I can do [IMG]

How is Defender a player to watch for Utica? He's bad, he lost to me. <3

Good write ups though, enjoying the talk and enjoying your cute butts doing some work.

You will not see me play a single game for these guys, but thank you for the name drop.
See ya'll next season, boys! IR for now. (People should hit me up for some 6s in the mean time.)

Good writeups overall though. Looking forward to seeing more.

Whoa, you try playing with Jay and see how many points you can get bub.

Also, Jay told everyone to keep doing what their doing, except me. Clearly he doesn't like me toning down my amazing skills and requires me to score some goals, to which I will oblige.

(In all reality I'm fucking atrocious and surprised I'm still not in the CHL.)

Cause you suck and KB has had his backpack on all season carrying your ass?

Also kudos to you guys for getting organized to get this done, I know how hard it is to do from prior seasons past. Keep the good stuff coming cause this is what drives the league instead of all the other whiny little baby drama floating around here. Thanks for the mention, but the whole Iowa D corp deserves the credit as they've all come together to help put the team where we're at now. @ooDROPPoo, @Rapalabrowns, @PuckinNutz, @nine10thsof1sec

Why change a good thing? Speaking of which I saw your mention in your rant and is that your humble mention of hearing the rumor about me possibly returning to management next season and wanting to join back up again?
